Danika Eviana is a self-taught Canadian artist specializing in abstract expressionism, realism, and modern impressionism. Her work is deeply influenced by a fascination with flight, travel, aerial photography, and the beauty found in life's simplest moments.

In her early twenties, Danika travelled extensively through Colorado, California, Oregon, and Australia. Her wanderlust spirit led her to some of the world's most beautiful places, which have left a lasting impression on her heart and continue to inspire her artwork.

With over a decade of painting experience, Danika's artistic interests have evolved over the years. Her early professional work focused on aerial landscapes, capturing the dynamic beauty and unique colours of the world. She aimed to depict the rapid transformations of landscapes, preserving fleeting moments in time.

Recently, Danika’s in-depth studies of colour theory have led her to explore how our mood can be influenced by different imagery. She utilizes different colour harmonies in the hope of evoking emotions like contentment, love, wanderlust and pride, reminding us of our perseverance, resiliency and confidence that can be ignited within all of us.

Danika’s newest paintings fuse abstract expressionism with lifelike portrayals of flora, butterflies, moths, and animals (coming soon). Through bold colours and energetic brushstrokes, she ignites a sense of transformation and renewal. This artistic approach resonates deeply with mothers and women, offering a visual narrative that inspires emotional healing, uplifting dialogue, and positive action. After meeting her husband in Italy in 2018, Danika's travels frequently bring her back to this beautiful country, which she is fortunate to call her second home. As a new mother, her energetic little boy inspires much of her recent work, as she cherishes life's transient moments. Danika often seeks to capture the beauty of these experiences through loose brushwork and vibrant colours, embracing the childlike experimentation that emerges when we let go and savour the simple joys that life, travel, and family offer.
