“This particular collector said, ‘I just want a painting’. We met to discuss the collector’s interests, hobbies, family and previous family vacations. They’re love of the mountains and going on adventures with they’re kids sparked the story of Waterton Lakes National Park and the hike they went on there. After this, I was determined to create the most epic 24” x 60” mountain landscape painting that I could have imagined. This commission was inspired from the viewpoint of Bear’s Hump Hike at Waterton Lakes National Park but it was created to bring the most beautiful attributes of this location alive.”
