“I met Danika at an art show in 2023, and I was immediately drawn to her work. The colours in all of her pieces resonated with me, and I knew I wanted one. I commissioned a painting of a vista that reminded me of a place I’d visited in Costa Rica, and added some macaws to it.  I didn’t have a picture to show her; based only on a discussion, it feels like Danika was able to pull from my mind exactly what I wanted, but better. The turquoise colours of the water, the lush greens and the bright belly of the macaws are the perfect combination. I know she researched the greenery local to Costa Rica, and it shows. She also managed to do it while pregnant/as a new mom, as a mom myself, I know what a daunting task that is; she is a true talent and a hard worker.”
