The energy that embodied the collection

After 8 years of painting realistically, Danika desperately wanted to make a change in her artwork. Longing to embrace a balance of abstraction and realism through expressive textures and brush strokes, she yearned for a looser style that still represented her subject in the way that she felt rather than just creating a literal representation. She began to follow her intuition, letting the paintbrush guide her rather than analyzing every move.

What inspired the collection

After becoming a mother, she battled with this fire inside her, fighting between wanting to fulfill her passion and feel her independence again, yet also wanting to be fiercely present for her son and family. She dedicated her time to embracing the present moments, capturing a story that reminds us how quickly these beautiful moments can fade, as well as the lessons they are trying to teach us if we don’t stop to observe the beauty that life has to offer around us.

Before beginning this collection, Danika Eviana had to burn and release a lot of her old mentality and her ego. She continues to work every day at uplifting herself and her mentality to welcome this New Chapter with open arms and an open heart. For we cannot surrender to New Beginnings unless we burn and let go of what no longer serves us.
